Intro to Pelvic Floor Yoga *Free*

Tuesday, March 19

6:30pm ET (60 min)

Online (live, recorded)

Free!

Join Sasha Sigel for a deep dive into Pelvic Floor Yoga. This free session is geared towards those experiencing pelvic floor challenges— specifically those with pelvic pain and hypertonic (very tight) pelvic floor muscles. For many of us, the pelvic floor can be a place of discomfort, trauma, or disconnection. Yoga allows us to find a new relationship with our pelvic floor. Through awareness, breath, and movement, you’ll build healthy practices for your pelvic floor.

This hour will offer the basics of pelvic floor yoga. First, you’ll build awareness of the structure of your pelvis and pelvic floor, and tune into where tension may be held. Next, you’ll experiment with breathing practices to regulate your nervous system and relax your pelvic floor muscles. Finally, you’ll explore gentle movement and specific stretches to help lengthen and release your pelvic floor.

Please have a yoga strap (or scarf) and a blanket (or towel.) Non Gendered language will be used, and any anatomy is welcome. This session will be recorded and sent out after the class. You will have access to the recording for 7 days.
