Yoga for Pelvic Health

Thursdays // 7:00-8:15pm ET

March 28- April 25 // Online, Recorded (5 classes)

Payment Options: $140 / $110

Take a deep dive into the wild world of your pelvis. For many of us, the pelvic floor can be a place of discomfort, trauma, or disconnection. Yoga allows us to find a new relationship with our pelvic floor. Through breath, awareness, and movement, you’ll build healthy practices for your pelvic floor.

This series was created for those experiencing pelvic floor challenges— specifically those with pelvic pain and hypertonic (very tight) pelvic floor. This series could be for you if you experience:

  • Pelvic pain

  • Pain during sex (solo or partnered)

  • Urge incontinence (leaking)

  • Endometriosis

  • Painful periods

  • Constipation

  • Vulvodynia, vaginismus, or vestibulodynia

Or, perhaps you just want to learn more about this vital part of your body!

Pelvic floor yoga is not your typical yoga class. We work slowly and specifically to create ease within the pelvic floor and surrounding muscles such as the glutes, hamstrings, and psoas. Through this series, you will:

  • Build awareness of the bony structure of your pelvis, the muscles, and the organs held within the pelvis.

  • Experiment with ways to regulate your nervous system (which are very much connected!)

  • Explore dynamic movement and specific stretches to release your pelvic floor

We will also learn how to effectively strengthen our muscles (rather than just tightening our muscles.) Spoiler: Kegals are not all they’re hyped up to be! Providing true stability and support for our pelvic floor leads to less muscle guarding and less pain.

Class 1: Anatomy + Awareness

Class 2: Diaphragmatic Breathing + Pelvic Floor Mapping

Class 3: Dynamic Movement + Gentle Stretches

Class 4: Regulation + Rest

Class 5: Stabilizing + Strengthening

Create a rich relationship with your pelvis and new skills to support your pelvic health. You’ll also learn how the many practices of yoga can influence our pelvis— through mudras, pranayama, and asana.

Notes: Gendered language will not be used. All genders and anatomy are welcome.

Auto-captions will be provided.

This course will be recorded with the spotlight on Sasha. You may join live or do the recordings at your own pace. Recordings will be sent out directly after class, and will be available for one month after the series ends.
